Professional Experience

Fidelity Information Services

My missions for Fidelity Information Services have deeply involved me with reacting to emergency situations at various client sites related to banking and mortgage products that Fidelity supports.  Some of my notable clients have been Toyota, Harris Bank, Sun Trust, Washington Mutual, and TDBankNorth.  Projects have included database migrations resulting from bank mergers and acquisitions, resolving system slowdowns related to database deadlocks, obsolete indexes, rewrites of stored procedures, restructuring of tables and views, in depth analysis to match extreme volumes to response times, and data platform migration from non-similar data structures to support corporate changes in systems and products in production and slated for use in production.  I am very successful through the use of PERL as a “tool language” to facilitate situations that involve cross platform operating systems.  On many occasions though, my solutions have included combinations of product proprietary languages, SQL ( generic and specific to the database system ), and PERL.
